Let me know how it comes out. I have been thinking of a prairie point type border for the giant dahlia but using the last "petal" template for the points.
I need to figure out what size the points would be and then what the overall quilt dimensions would need to be so that they are evenly spaced. Because I would use one of the templates and I want it to actually be that shape I think I would sew them right sides together with a white backing, turn them right side out, then sew them onto the edge.
