i hope the muslin you bought was 108" wide! 5 yards of 45" muslin will not be anywhere close to what you need to back a king size quilt-
kona is a very good brand
muslin is not the same as 'calico's which is what most of our quilting cottons are- there is a difference in the processing of the cotton- muslin has been around for a lot longer than calicos and it does wear very well- and just get softer and softer with every wash- magic fabric at a very inexpensive price!
