I basically taught myself to sew, with a little help here and there from others. My mother sewed and quilted very well, but she passed away when I was a child, so I missed out on her sewing expertise. I took a class in home economics in school that included sewing lessons, but I don't feel like I learned much there. Maybe I was too young to be interested then.
