I've been making quilts for about seven years. I never made clothes. Never took home-ec in Jr. High because I was in the band and that was my elective.
That is where my friend who found the Biscuit Quilt book lives...she is originally from Philadelphia but met her husband at college and he got a teaching job/football coach in Mechanicsburg School District so they settled in Camp Hill. I've always loved that town...something about it and Lemoyne that I've always loved.
Home Ec wasn't an elective when I was in school...it was required in grades 7-9. In senior high school it was an elective or you could join the Home Ec club that met once a week. It was both sewing and cooking.
I love New England especially coastal Maine. Have camped in the Bar Harbor/Acadia area several times. I've been through NH but never stopped...lol. Couldn't wait to get to Rockport to LL Bean. Could have spent a day in there...I think we did. lol
