That is just gorgeous. I would start at the web site below. They are the Texas History Experts. They might even have names of quilter's from county fairs. County Fairs in Texas were huge, because that was usually the only way some people got to see friends and family. I went to one Texas State fair, and it took me two days to see most of it! This is the Texas State Museums site. Hope this is helpful.

You might also try visiting small area church 'rosters'. That was another way quilters found each other. Paris is not that big. It is worth a shot.... ;)
