the 66 an 99 are not featherweights. They are what has been called 3/4 size machines. I have two 99's and they sew wonderfully, but are certainly not a featherweight. My original 99 I bought in Waco TX for $25.00 in 1972. I bought my second 99 off of ebay for $29.00 plus shipping last year. Both are great.
Actually, the 66 is not a 3/4 machine...it is a full size machine. The 99 is the 3/4 size of the 66.
I just got my very first FW, black, 1957, from an antique mall here in town, and paid $250. She's in pretty good condition, the case is real good, it has the tray and some bobbins, but no extra attachments. I looked online for a few months and had decided not to get one. Then I found her....walked away, came back, walked away....then I couldn't stand to leave her, so went and picked her up. :-)
