I took several photos of the finished wall hanging because I thought I was taking blurry photos. But since all my photos come out the same way I came to the conclusion that the way I did the outside borders of the tumbling blocks or the colors or something I did causes it to appear to have movement. I know combining reds with certain colors can cause the appearance of movement. Not sure why it happened...but I guess someone may know?
PS...I used wood dowling w/wood beads screwed onto the end of the dowling & spray painted it a dark navy blue.
What size/degree diamond did you use and was this hand or machine pieced? How did you start this wallhanging - from the center and work out? I have never attempted anything like this but it is so striking I would like to give it a try. I would be handpiecing.
