When we were loading up to go watch fireworks on the Fourth of July my daughter grabbed up a quilt her husband's grandmother had made for them. I was at first appalled - USING this awesome gift of love from a master quilter????? How dare they? Then I thought ... hmmm... using a gift of love? How awesome. The quilt is a T-shirt one which honors my SIL's Marine Corps years that coincided with my daughter's college years while they lived in what we called "The Wilderness of Virginia". (Sorry VA people - they were a long way from home!)

I've read on here that we don't want our quilts given to the dogs (unless we made them for dogs) and we don't want them stuck on a shelf in a closet. So what do you think about in the back of a pickup on the 4th of July?

sippy cup - no open beverage containers.

The boys are playing with a cold pack that was in the ice chest.

Fireworks! (not a quilt - but couldn't resist!)
