Good that she made her feelings known before you gave it to her - imagine how you'd feel if you found out it ended up in a garage sale or in the basement as a doggie blandet.
I'd rush right out to Walmart and get her a "blue" quilt, clearly marked "made in China".
In the meantime, I'd use this lovely quilt as a lap warmer for myself as I curl up with a good book - soothing colors.
