According to my EQ program, for the half square triangles you would cut your squares at 12 7/8" then cut once on the diagonal and sew together to get your 12.5" HST, then your plain squares are cut at 12.5" (finish would be 12" blocks). Mine has a 3" border then my binding. and measures 56x56
