Mom says 5 stitches per edge. She also says when she has the egg cartons stacked she uses chopsticks stuck in the "mountians" between the craters to put her spool of thread on, stick her scissors and hemastats into. She will be sending me more pics when my DD goes to visit this summer and takes pics of her progress. I am trying to talk her into doing a tute for us. She only works on it when she is on the road sitting at Dr.s appts for her DH.
Tell your mom that using the egg cartons and the chopsticks is a great idea!!!! How large is she planning on making the quilt? How many flowers has she completed thus far? I've never tried English paper piecing, but have always wanted to do it. It's another one on my "Must Do" project list!!   Maybe I could make a pincushion out of mini hexies!!! Wouldn't that be cute??!!
