Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to mark the quilt ... perhaps with something that will wash out, but light colored enough to see on the dark brown?

I use the crayola washable markers and crayons. I love them! They are great, colors show up very well and everything just washes out! I have only used the markers so far, they glide over the fabric a little better than the crayons.
