After watching a tut on making half square triangles by sewing all around 2 layered blocks, then cutting them into quarters by making an X through them, and ending up with 4 half square triangles, I just had to try it! Needless to say, it was great fun working them up so fast and simply said, that's where they turned into a pile of UFO's. Time marches on and I saw a windmill quilt somewhere, don't recall when or where it was, but I decided to make larger windmills with my "angler" to put the smaller triangles to use. I continue to practice free motion quilting on my Husquvarna Designer SE- some day hope to have some sort of long arm. Also, to try a new (to me) technique from here on the board, I added the flange to the edge of the quilt, and just finished it up this morning! Another UFO done!
