Thanks so much! My MIL had been attempting this (not too successfully) before she went into the nursing home and I had not figured out why it wasn't working right.
I completed one of her other UFOs after eventually determining the pattern she was doing, but this one I hadn't taken the time to determine how it was actually supposed to go together.
