It is so much fun to ask a question like this and see all the come backs from everyone!!!!
It seemed to me that all I saw anymore was machine embroidery. Not that there is anything wrong with doing on a machine. There are some very beautiful designs made that way.
I was just wanting to reach out to anyone who loves what I love. I get great satisfaction out of being able to do the stitches and I am always looking for more stitches to learn!! This was the very first sewing I ever learned to do by hand. I learned on a crewel kit. Then I progressed to embroidery and other needlework.
I am glad that it is still being done by so many!!!
