Please, don't flame this poster.....Just a few weeks ago the baby of a woman raised in our town was killed by the family dog of a relative they were visiting, a rescue that got along well with
his own children. The dog and baby were on the floor in another room, the family heard a sound from the dog and found the baby bitten . How could this happen? Well, the dog was
deaf, the baby was a stranger and speculation is that the baby startled the dog in some way and was bitten.
that was horrible, BUT it is wrong to "get rid of" a deaf dog because of one most unfortunate happening. When I have visitors I place the dog in his cage. mostly for his protection since he does not know them. thank you for your concerned warning.
