Memphis is pretty spread out. I don't know anything about West Memphis, but in Memphis/Bartlett there is one quilt shop, very nice, called KlassyKats on Stage Rd. On Stage Road also is a Hobby Lobby, across the street from there is a very large Hancock's.

In the other direction, toward Collierville, is a new JoAnn's fabrics. Further out Poplar Ave is Collierville, which has a quilt store.

There is a quilt store in Arlington, another suburb.
Food? Memphis has great food. On Poplar Avenue is Corky's barbecue, which I think is better than Rendezvous.

Downtown also has Spaghetti Warehouse, both cheap and delicious. Neely's Barbecue is towards Hickory Hill, off of Mendenhall.

Spicy Fried Chicken is served in Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken on Front street. This is downtown.

Uncle Lou's Fried chicken on Millbranch, which is in Whitehaven.

catfish - Catfish Corner on Airways is the best Catfish around. Not a good neighborhood, so eat lunch there. Great food though

Good Japanese is at Nagasaki on Summer Ave, 1/2 the price of Benihana and just as good, family owned, supper only after 5.

Next door to Nagasaki is Bryant's family restaurant, they serve breakfast that is southern as they come, biscuits and gravy and all the fixins for $6.
