There is another possible arrangement. Not sure if the article is from Anita Grossman Solomon ...but I have a book of hers that shows this technique (with only 2 cuts) which she calls the X-centric & Concentric blocks from stripes. If you have a chance to have a look at the book...it is on the first chapter....and there is a lady that completed her quilt using this same technique which you can find here
