There are a lot of beautiful quilts out there that are very accomplished and just absolutly perfect, blue ribbon, best of show, and made with love, care and hard work. And that is just what your Aunt did, she made a quilt that was made with care, love, determination and yes she is very accomplished. I could never imagine working that hard on a quilt to try to get it done for someone that I loved with those kind of challenges. I would do as little as possible so that you don't lose the integrity of the quilt and present it to your daughter. I am betting the tears will flow and she will cherish the quilt forever.
