There is a link on thier web site called service project and it tells all about it and what the women over there have to endure; they are treated so poorly from the people who are supposed to love them. They can be killed by family members and it doesn't matter. The thought is that if they teach these women how to sew (on treadle since there is no electric, the shop has gotten alot of people to donate thier treadle machines to send over there) then they won't be so desparate for money where they may be forced to work against our men and women in order to survive. It such a great cause. Here is the web site: http://www.bellafabricsva.com/...I hope your loved ones return home soon. We are retired Navy and I know how hard it is to have them so far away from you. Take care.
I live about 4-5 hours away from there but will check out their website.

I got a call last night from the oldest boy, he is asking for 6 more quilts to give to some of the locale families there. He say I can take some time in getting them as they won't need them just yet but he wanted to get his order in early. LOL I guess he knows how swamped I can get with doing all these. It seems that some of the locales are in much need of things to just get them through the winter months and I use blankets instead of quilt batting in all my quilts because the boys say they are a lot warmer.

Since I have permission to finish the big one I was working on before getting these out I guess I better get started. LOL I have a feeling before this is all done he will be asking for more so I may have to try and stock up on some before winter starts just in case.
