It's amazing how much comfort and joy a quilt can bring. Blessings to you as you deliver this to your friend.

Did you know that tradition started in the Native American Nation? I think its a wonderful idea. In the Native American Community before you give it back to the Medicine man you wash the quilt in order to rid it of your "issue".
I didn't know where the tradition was started--thanks for sharing--I think it is such a wonderful thing to do. We have now made a child's quilt that is given to a child to hug when they are in the hospital, if they have a new sibling, lost a grandparent, etc. It's been such a blessing to those that have received it. I know your quilt will be a blessing to your friend.
