I have made plain practical ones and have now collected some patterns and special remnants and plan to make fancy ones as gifts; 1-11/2 yds does it.I picked up a pattern by Decades of Style Pattern Company for a "1928 One Yard Bias Cut Flapper Apron" which includes a pattern for a child's apron.I am making it reversible with an Amy Butler remnant on one side and a metallic-striped pink on the other.
Earlier, I made an apron out of batik bought in Alaska, a reminder of our trip. It used a few fat quarters. It is the 5/4 Apron by Merchant Rag but you could work that one out for yourself. Quick projects if you can get some continuous time!
