I posted about my binding buddies. I am calling them spools now, so much easier to understand.

Here are some pix of the last ones I made.
NOW is the time to get your pool noodles at the $ store!
Once they are gone, they are gone until next summer!

I use those special FQ's, left overs, scraps, etc.
Be sure to turn under one of the long edges to serve as the FINISHING edge once rolled on.
I did use a dowel to push the fabric into the ends, but found that my finger works better, so you can really squish the fabric around in there and make sure it has glue!

These are light weight so make great gifts to send! They are cheap and easy to do so can be easily donated to the "guild boutique" at your next quilt show! have fun!

Happy crafting!

FIRST I have hubby cut the pool noodles into 8 equal pieces. See them in the bucket! IGNORE the other projects. I have the Boomerang 5.0 swap in the basket on the table, My Patriots in Petticoats just got cut out and is under the table and some other blocks I had to cut out are on the top of the table in the clear tote..always have a million things going on at once!

Then Icut the fabric approx. 9 x 12 and then apply the glue. I use plain old Elmer's craft glue, NOT the washable school glue!

I got all of these done in about an hour and a half! It takes longer to cut and press the fabric then to roll it on the noodle base.
