I'm really cheap, I use toilet paper tubes!! And I put the rolls in an old ice cream bucket with a hole in the lid to keep it from rolling all over the place. Works for me!!
this is great..and probably really handy too!
mine spools are geared more for gift giving.
Also I make my binding up when I cut out my quilt! That way I do not run out of fabric and have to wonder what will match my quilt when it is done 2-3 years from now! Seriously...that has happened.
On TP rolls, you could not store fabric for that long. They are NOT acid free and would cause fading/staining on the fabrics.
Everything has its use...really it does!
