Welcome to the Quilting Board. Hang in there, I know it's been said many times, but things will get better. In the last 5 years my husband became disabled with vertigo, I got laid off 2 days later, 2nd time in one year and I became nursemaid/chauffeur/do everything Marge. We lost our house because of medical bills and moved from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apt. I had to give up almost half my stash, but gave to a friend who kept a lot of it, gave the rest to a charity that makes quilts for kids in hospitals. I do get visiting rights to my fabric, and just recently she remembered a large piece of fabric that was perfect for my family reunion quilt for July 4th. I know exactly what you're going through. You're overwhelmed, but take 5-10 minutes a day for yourself, more if you can and gradually increase it. You'll find that when you take time for yourself you will have more energy and will want to quilt again. To me quilting is my sanity, my therapist and favorite thing to do that I do for me. When you can't do one day at a time, do one hour at a time and you will get through this, and you will be stronger for it in the end. Take care and God bless.
