Mine were 2 in strips and I sliced at 2in came out just fine. They do look a bit long/skinny until you get some of them sewn together then they should look more like diamonds.
Thank you btw for the comments. It's almost 2/3 done quilted just gotta do the corners/sides then put his name on it.
