Marvel, I can't believe you put that piece back in the trash can. At a Sit and Sew I used to go to I took a long strip someone had cut from the length and width of their quilt prior to binding. It was lovely fabric and about 5" wide. It was also backed by a really nice batting and backing. The lady who put it in the trash seemed offended that I had taken it out, I offered to let her have it, just thought it was trash. She didn't want it but I heard later that she just couldn't believe that I had taken her trash! I still don't get her attitude. To me that is like throwing away your change and keeping only the bills!
