The Star/Fan pattern was called simply "Multi Fan Star" and was in one of the Oxmoor House publications. I'm thinking it was a 1994 or '84 Americas Greatest Quilts...
Let me caution anyone who tries this one to NOT cut out the Hexagon Block or Side Blocks,Side Triangles and Corner Block until all stars are made and laid out so you can take your own measurements as to needed sizes. The directions that were in the book were way off for mine. I was lucky in that I had made a paper pattern using the directions before cutting my fabric. When I saw that this wasn't going to work I was able to make the corrections before wasting any fabric.
