I have spent the last three days at the AQS show in Knoxville, TN. It was so inspiring to see the beautiful quilts on display. I met several wonderful new friends. I spent way too much money. I am going to go back now next week and be so fired-up that my dear husband will not be seeing me for a while. I am excited to use some of the patterns I purchased on my fabric stash and see if I can't reduce it a bit. I only bought one 1 1/2 yard cut of fabric and 2 jelly rolls. The rest went for patterns, thread, and a few new gadgets that I had been wanting for some time. (I also bought a small wool wall hanging kit to give to my quilting buddy who will be moving away 3 days after I get home.) I spend today with my daughter-in-law's mother, who is a new quilter. Being from Knoxville, we ran into some friends of hers also. She was so inspired by what she saw. Luckily we enjoy the same things in quilts, so we are going to share some of the patterns I purchased. It would be funny if we ended up making identical quilts to give to our shared children! I am ready now for lots of sewing until April. Thanks for reading my ramblings.
