Donna sent me this diamond...it is so pretty and I don't think there was one cut off point! Great piecing!
When I fist saw this quilt..I immediately saw the diamonds and stars...so that is what I wanted to emphasize....I outlined the stars and crosshatched in the center patches....those diamonds were waiting for the edges to be rounded so they would get some dimension and SHINE!!
I stippled the background...pretty small so it would make everything else POP out...and I finished the border with the lines that were already in the fabric...I just followed the lines...I thought It would compliment it nicely and give it that special touch.
Many of us LOVE batiks and this quilt is the perfect example of why! They are so beautiful.
I quilted this freehand on my INNOVA. This quilt has quilters dream batting.
