They are great in quilts. I went to a yard sale once where a man was selling bolts of men's shirt 100% cotton fabric. His wife custom made men's shirts but had recently passed away. I got several bolts to use for backing (each from 45" to 54" wide). When I measured all the fabric out getting ready to wash it averaged 10 cents a yard and was in perfect condition. Did a happy dance :lol: :lol:
