Beautiful quilting! Thanks for sharing your work. The open spaces allow you to showcase your HQ. Yes I've used masking tape for quite a while. My problem is with quilts of even smaller pieces-finished pieces (1/2" and 1/4" squares or strips). Stitching goes wonky with all those seam allowances.
