Mom used to make it with cottage cheese. I use shredded cheddar instead.
I use 1 pound of ground "meatloaf mix" or ground beef, an egg, ketchup, bread crumbs, and cheddar cheese (or cottage cheese). mix well with hands and bake. I don't measure. I just dump.
