Is it 100% cotton? Usually, if it is, then spritzing with water or spray starch works.
I have always used a spray bottle with 1/3 vinegar (white) & 2/3 water. It's perfect for when you have altered the hem or seams in permanent pressed pants...takes out the old lines and let's you redo the creases.

If you have a really stubborn crease, really spritz with the vinegar water and use a piece of cotton cloth over the fabric and press until dry.

Sometimes it doesn't for me. I have very little of this fabric left and it has a crease in it no matter how I cut the block.
