But I'm not one to give up so I kept at it and am now nearly done. Far from perfect, but I call it my practice quilt. I question if it's possible to do that large a quilt perfectly on a standard machine. And I tend to get carried away with trying maybe too many designs. Oh well! Keep reminding myself it's fun. I do have fun FMQ, especially when it's going well. Look forward to seeing your progress pictures.
Hello!
Thank you very much!
I also wonder if I can use my standard machine into something big!
The first test of 23 "x 40" was so bad that I was intimidated and gave up everything for almost a year!
These rugs are 21 "x 33" and is partly complicated by the size of me.
Next follows will be even bigger and see what happens.
But I think for those of us with standard machines the best option would be a QAYG! Something else I try!
Please let me know when you finish yours to see!
A hug!
I've only been quilting less than a year, first did a table runner, then a twin quilt, so I very likely wasn't quite ready for a queen! At least, not FMQ. I don't know what QAYG means. Hopefully something I can try. Let me know. I hope to have the quilting done in a couple days - hurray, hurray!!! Then binding and I'll be done. Thanks for your response.
