Another thread about cherries reminded me that this year has been the best in a long time for peaches. Most of the past few years they've been dry and mealy. But this year they're juicy and sweet. You could be right. We had the coldest winter here in the UK for over 100 years and my plum, cherry and apple trees are so heavy with large fruit that some branches are breaking under the weight. Never had such large crops of fruit.
