I actually bought a ruler and cutter for my son's company. He was watching me cut fabric and siad the plans his firm deals with are too large for their paper cutter so they had been using an exacto and metal edge. he was so impressed that the boss went out and bought several more.
So often it is the other way around -- we are going to the hardware store for stuff for us.
