I'm kind of glad I read this thread.
When I free motion quilt, I drop the feed dogs, there's a button down by the feed dogs to do this, and then I turn the pressure on the pressure foot to 'darn' It's up by the thread, annd I never knew it had that setting until a month ago. (I've had the machine since 1989 or so)
So, am I being redudndant? Does putting the dial on the darning symbol lower the feeds dogs, and I don't have to push the button down below?
