I just finished a Hunter's Star and by the way it was such a fun quilt to make! (I hope this helps)
The back of my pattern says: Queen/King "92X104"
# of blocks: 56 (Set 7X8)
Main Fabric: 6 1/2 yards
*optional-Main Fabric 4 yards
Accent Star Fabric 2-1/2 yards
Background Fabric (light) 6 1/2 yards
Border 1 1/2 yards
Binding 3/4 yard
Backing 9 yards
Batting 98 X 110

I'm understanding the Optional part is making your stars with a third color. The star would have a different dark and the same light used in all of the quilt. The quilt is a light same as what is in the star and another (different) dark fabric. Take a look at Yellow House Quilter www.yellowhousequilter.com. I used two colors and it is awesome!

I HIGHLY recommend using the Clover Double Pins they really helped with keeping the seams together. If you haven't used them before they are wonderful. I ended up getting my second set at Joanns with a coupon. They are a little more spendy but great pins!

I'll be posting a picture probably tomorrow or the next day. Take a look. I'm stumped on how to quilt it. Have fun!
