I also have a Quest Plus which I adore. I think it's a lot of machine for the money. I also have Berninas, and the QP actually compares very favorably. But since you have the 3160, with all it's features, a straight stitcher like the Brother 1500, Juki 98 or 2010, Janome 1600, or such might be a great choice for you. 9" harp for around $600 or more depending on the brand.
