I too have always wanted to make a Lone Star Quilt, but always feared the pieceing process. Last year the local quilt shop offered a different way to make this quilt using half-square triangles. My center (star) is complete and now I need to finish making the migrating geese and border blocks. It is a huge quilt, but I feel like I have accomplished something.
