I used to have a male and female dalmation. We had 3 litters of pups...LARGE litters! Dal pups are the absolute cutest things! Of course w/that many pups comes lots and lots of puppy poo! Do you know how Dalmations keep their coats so white??? Nope, it's not from lots of bathing...it's from constant shedding and each one of those darned hairs is barbed (think of a little teeny tiny porcupine quill barb) so they stick in everything and are super hard to get off. I had a brown carpet and one time right after I had vacuumed the male came in, sat down and had a good scratch. When he got up there was a perfect circle of white dog hair...not funny!
