good for you! I love scrappy quilts and these fabrics should make good ones.
BTW, I use 'dead' bedsheets, some of which I buy at thrift stores, to use as scrappy foundations, since I am allergic to dryer sheets. sometimes I use batting scraps, which make a good basis for fancy machine stitches.
