Try using a muffin mix, adding a cup of quick oats, some cranberry raisins, chopped walnuts, coconut, etc. I add an egg to the recommended amount of water. The "Cran-orange" muffin mix by Pillsbury is a good one. (I seldom use a recipe since I have been cooking for several decades...) Then you can either make drop cookies, or cook in a pan like brownies and cut into squares. My husband loves these. I like the sound of the cookies with bacon too!!
