Oh Nita, I'm so sorry you lost your Chloe!!!
We went through that two years ago when my cocker muttley Morgan died! She was only about 8 years old (had gotten her from a rescue place, so her age was a guess), and her chest all filled with fluid, so they had to put her to sleep. My DH and I both bawled at the vet's and all the way home. We brought her home to bury, and now she has a beautiful rose bush of her own. She was the most perfect doggie, everyone
loved her.
It might seem cold hearted to some, but we went the very next day and got Mollie, who has a lot of Morgan's personality. Morgan also died when we were expecting news of DH brother's impending death, so we just couldn't deal with the total absence of her too.
Everyone still talks of Morgan, but Mollie also has a special place with everyone too now. :-)
