My grandson's first birthday was last week, so I put together an I Spy quilt for him. A very basic setting of the squares, but I used bright red corduroy fabric for the back, brought it up to the front for faux binding, and left the edges raw so they'd fray a bit. I *love* how it turned out, and my daughter loves it too. GS had no comment. (because he's only one, get it?? can't talk yet? no comment?? ummmm, yeah.... :?) Anywhoooo, here are my ginormous photos:

The quilting is in a point-set square pattern. Again, very simple, but looks good. My usual quilting is meandering or stippling, so this was a variation for me...oh, also I stitched in the ditch around the blue border, which also broke up the point-set square pattern. The cord looks bunchy and puckery, but it's not really.

The photos aren't great...what with the shadow and all. I'm just not willing to give up quilting time to improve my photography skills...
