Sorry, I'm going to have to ask what may happen? The word dangerous sounds scary. I don't want to ruin the sheets my daughter picked. I normally use an 18 needle but thought a 16 would work better. I don't know the thread count of the sheets, they have very little information on the label being at a close-out store. They feel really nice though!
