I would spend the 12 bucks!
You need it to not only wind the bobbins, but to sew too! The Touch N Sew takes these flat looking bobbins and have to be wound by the machine. You can't wind them on a Sidewinder.

I have a Touch N Sew. One of the originals that came out. Was my moms and that's what I mainly learned to sew on. Right now it sits in the cabinet looking pretty. It hasn't been used in over 20 years that I can think of, so it needs a really hefty cleaning.
