I ordered an Alvin self healing mat. you can order them from most any quilting site or a site that sells products for draftsmen and architects. I have used the other brand mats and this is the best I have ever had. It is really self healing, I have been using it a year now with no ruts in it. They come in different sizes and you can order clear or green. I don't think they are any more expensive that Olfa or the other brands.
