I attended a show in Dunedin FL yesterday. On display were art quilts from Paducah KY museum variations on traditional Sunflower pattern. Contest was 2009. Interesting! Who would have thought of all the ways to do sunflowers. I was surprised to see many raw cut pieces sewn down. Seem to be fused or glued also. A new concept for me. Wouldn't you know I didn't take a camera. I've attached the first place quilt from the brochure. The photo doesn't do the quilt justice on the colors.
